Week4, Post 1: towards being an e-teacher!

Hi dear friends!
A week of intensive reading and practicing has gone and it seems to me we are in our way to be good e-teachers.

I liked the technology enhanced lesson plan for it helps too much in achieving many advantages among which I can count:
1-It saves our time .
2-It motivates students.
3-It improves the quality of teaching.
4-It includes some detailed steps of the lesson that may help us better see the classroom reality.
5-It offers the chance for a better communication.
6-It allows the presence of many collaborative ideas.
7- It deeply changes the relationship between teacher and learner.
8- It proposes a real context for learning.
9- It helps the students acquire many skills: not only linguistic skills but also technological ones.
10- A gradual funny learning is granted.
I cannot stop listing the advantages of using technology in our lessons but in one word it’s a kind of revolution in education!

  1. Dear Khaled:

Yes, this week has for sure been intensive. We have lots and lots of things to read, and the best part is that with all of the significant information we can find in the net we will never finish, and this will keep us on the way to be better, up to date and more knowledgeable each day.

I also think that technology is in million ways favorable for us, as teacher s, to make our job easier in a way and more constructive, and for our students, helping them learn in an integral manner, which of course will benefit all in the present and future performance no matter what we do as a career.

All of your comments and suggested links have been very favorable. Thanks for that and keep on with your fantastic work. I can easily notice you are very much into technology and you seem a great teacher. Congratulations

    Gaby

P.S. I love the picture; I know we all feel identified with it. :)

  2. Hi Khaled,

Short, yet detail reflection, which is what Mr. Robert wanted from us I guess. Lesson plan should be prepared in such a way, that anyone should be able to teach a class following that plan. In fact we just learned how to plan in detail; some of the components of planning were stunning; like need of plan B, plan/activity for needy children and instant outcome of the lesson.
As you reflected, there is countless advantage of this plan as it revolution of education.

    All the best!
