Now that our e-class is driving to an end let me express how much I feel convinced that we can no longer retreat or surrender: CALL and ICT are a fate in our education we don’t have the choice to stop integrating them in our lessons nor do we have the right to deprive our learners from the decent use of such tools in their schools. Now that we started using internet we cannot withdraw it will follow us everywhere we go as a modern assistant that will revolutionize our schooling.
Computer mediated teaching has become a fact that we cannot play a blind eye to. Due to the fast pace of technological change, innovative teaching approaches and strategies should be developed in order to successfully integrate new technologies into language teaching. The day-today reality for teachers and learners is that technology presents some new opportunities and challenges. The pervasive effects of technology on language use outside the classroom affect learners' knowledge and expectations for technology use in the classroom.
I am expecting myself to carry on using these technological tools and I am looking forward to better equip myself and my students with the decent knowledge in ICT and CALL. Working on my resource website, creating more websites maybe and carry on mastering as much computer applications as I can!

ReplyDeleteLearning another language requires interaction and certainly we have to integrate technology to this process. I think that technology is like the tour to those who do not have the chance to travel abroad and contact with other culture. Internet and all the resources we can access is what let us and students to contact with language.
You are right it is a revolution which provides with the opportunities to be better in language, motivate and promote positive effects with the learning process.
During the course I have felt that this is what students are interested by, so let's take the advantage of their experience with technology and create the conditions for students to learn and enjoy concerning their individualities.
I agree that technology offers us opportunities and challenges, but it is positive because we all students and teachers can raise our level of knowledge.

According with the main topic let me to say you Technology has changed the appearance and operation of modern society. Our world has become digital, and our classrooms are steadily following suit. The teacher remains the focal point, but new resources are adapting how instruction occurs. The power of the projector has now evolved from simple presentation device to the heartbeat of interactive whiteboards, which bring content to life for all learners. Technology integration is not only changing the way we think but also the way we teach.
